Betne Village, Khanapur – December 2024
Dr. Kiran D. Thakur (Mama), Chairman of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd, attended the inauguration ceremony of solar street lamps installed by Lok Kalp Foundation at Betne village. This project, part of the foundation’s rural development initiatives, involved the installation of solar street lamps across four villages—Betne, Parwad, Handikopwad, and Chorla—with five lamps in each village.
The inauguration at Betne village marked the launch of this sustainable lighting initiative aimed at improving safety and access in remote rural areas. During the event, Dr. Thakur lauded Lok Kalp Foundation’s efforts in promoting eco-friendly infrastructure and uplifting rural communities.
Villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the much-needed lighting solution, which will significantly improve their quality of life. Lok Kalp Foundation remains dedicated to executing similar impactful projects to foster sustainable development.
