Khanapur, April 2025 – Lok Kalp Foundation, in collaboration with Venugram Hospital, Belgaum, organized a Free General Health Camp at Betane Village in Khanapur, reaching and assisting nearly 60 villagers in need of basic medical care.
The camp was aimed at bridging the healthcare gap in underserved rural areas, offering free medical services such as blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, general physical consultations, and basic diagnostics. The event received an overwhelming response from the locals, with individuals of all age groups coming forward to benefit from the services.
A dedicated medical team from Venugram Hospital, headed by Dr. Sana Hudli, ensured that every patient was treated with care and compassion. Supporting her were Mrs. Rupa, PRO Mr. Srikant Patil, and Mr. Yogesh, who managed patient interactions and assisted in medical assessments throughout the day. Their professional commitment played a key role in the smooth and effective delivery of the camp’s services.
From the Lok Kalp Foundation, Mr. Santosh Kadam and Mr. Sandeep Patil took charge of coordinating the event. They handled logistics, ensured villagers were informed, and facilitated on-site arrangements for both the medical staff and the attendees. Their coordination ensured that the entire camp ran efficiently and without interruption.
This health initiative was organized as part of Lok Kalp Foundation’s mission of holistic rural development, which emphasizes healthcare, education, sanitation, and empowerment in villages. By providing essential healthcare access directly in rural communities, the Foundation continues to uphold its commitment to “healthcare for all”.
The success of this camp not only highlights the need for regular health outreach in remote areas but also showcases the impact of public-private partnerships in rural upliftment. Lok Kalp Foundation expresses heartfelt gratitude to Venugram Hospital for their unwavering support and to the villagers of Betane for their active participation and trust.
Plans are already underway to conduct similar health camps in nearby villages in the coming months, ensuring continued access to basic healthcare for those who need it most.
