In a heartwarming tribute to the invaluable contributions of educators, the Lok Kalp Foundation, a CSR initiative of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society, organized a Teachers’ Day Celebration on 10th July 2025 at its Shiroda Branch. The event brought together local dignitaries, students, and community members to honor two respected teachers for their dedication and service in shaping society.
The program began with a warm welcome address from Ms. Sharada Patil, Assistant Branch Manager of the Shiroda Branch followed by a brief introduction of the Lok Kalp Foundation initiative by Ms. Shreya Gaonkar,
As a mark of appreciation, two distinguished educators from the Shiroda region — Mr. Chandrakant Hede (retired) and Ms. Vidhya Naik (Retired) — were felicitated with Lok Kalp products, certificates, and mementos in recognition of their unwavering commitment to education and community development.
Mr. Chandrakant Hede, one of the honored teachers, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of Guru Purnima and the enduring bond between teachers and students. He also commended the Lok Kalp Foundation for its commendable initiative in recognizing and celebrating educators.
“Teachers are the torchbearers of change and the true architects of our future,” said the Chief Guest in an inspiring message.
A special note of gratitude was extended to Mr. Kiran Thakur, Founder of Lok Kalp Foundation; Ms. Malini Bali, Senior Manager; and Regional Manager Dominic D’Souza for their vision, leadership, and constant encouragement in making such community-centric events possible.
Present at the event were LWA Manager Ms. Shweta Naik, CSR Assistant Ms. Shreya Gaonkar, Assistant Branch Manager Ms. Sharada Patil, and the entire staff of the Lokmanya Shiroda Branch, whose dedicated efforts made the event a success.
The celebration was a resounding success, fostering a deeper sense of appreciation for teachers and reinforcing the Lokkalp Foundation’s commitment to social responsibility and community development.
