On the occasion of World Population Day 11th july 2025 , Lokkalp Foundation, the CSR wing of Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Society, organized a vibrant and engaging drawing competition at PM Shri Government High School in Namoshi, Guirim, Bardez. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of class 5 to 10, who showcased their creativity and awareness through powerful artwork centered around population issues.
To encourage the budding artists, Lokkalp Foundation donated drawing kits to all participants. The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were recognized and awarded for their outstanding artistic efforts.
We at Lokkalp aimed to raise awareness among schoolchildren about the growing concerns related to population increase, particularly in India, the world’s most populated country. By sparking conversations at a young age, the initiative hoped to instill a sense of responsibility and understanding regarding population control and sustainable living.
