On 13th August 2025, Lok Kalp Foundation, a CSR initiative of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., successfully organized Bag Stitching Training for women from Kankumbi, Jamboti, and Chorla villages.
The training was conducted at Chikkodi by expert trainers from Pankh India Foundation. During the session, the participants learned how to stitch multiple types of bags, enabling them to gain valuable skills that can help them earn a sustainable livelihood.
This initiative reflects Lok Kalp Foundation’s commitment to livelihood generation and women empowerment in rural communities. By equipping women with practical, income-generating skills, the Foundation aims to foster self-reliance and improve household incomes in its adopted villages.
The women participants expressed their gratitude to Lok Kalp Foundation for providing them with this opportunity and pledged to make the most of their newly acquired skills to support their families.
Through such initiatives, Lok Kalp Foundation continues to take meaningful steps towards fulfilling the vision of Dr. Kiran D. Thakur, Chairman of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., in uplifting rural communities through Healthcare, Education, Livelihood, and Infrastructure development.
