Sanguem, Goa | January 30, 2026 — Lokkalp Foundation, the CSR wing of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society, felicitated Dr. Madusudan Nadkarni and Shri Harshad Prabhudessai in recognition of their outstanding contributions to society and community development.

The felicitation ceremony was held at the Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society, Sanguem Branch, in the presence of dignitaries, officials, and staff members.

Dr. Madusudan Nadkarni completed his MBBS in 1979 and began his medical career as a Medical Officer at V.M. Salgaonkar & Pvt. Ltd., where he served from 1982 to 2004. He later worked as a Medical Officer at Chowgule & Co. Pvt. Ltd., Curchorem Dispensary, from 2004 until his retirement in 2013. Post-retirement, Dr. Nadkarni has continued his service to society through VHAG, contributing to CSR projects of Goa Shipyard Limited, and remains actively involved in social responsibility initiatives to this day.

Shri Harshad Prabhudessai completed his ITI in Electronics in 1964. He began cultivating land in 1983 and currently practices agriculture on approximately 10 hectares. He was awarded Second Highest Sugarcane Cultivator during 1995–96 and received the prestigious Krushi Vibhushan Award in 2013–14. His commercial farming includes crops such as coconut, arecanut, cashew, moong, banana, black pepper, sugarcane, and pineapple.

As a token of appreciation, Lokkalp Foundation presented the awardees with a certificate of recognition, a memento, and eco-friendly products crafted by the Foundation.
