Lok Kalp Foundation organized a Free Blood Group Checking Camp at Mahakali High School, Adivare Ratnagiri on 13 Feb 2026.
Lok Kalp Foundation organizes this camp with support of Lokmanya society Pawas branch and in collaboration with Swayam diagnosis laboratory.
During interaction with the school authorities, it was observed that .
– There are no nearby laboratories or medical facilities available in the area for blood group testing.
– Many students were unaware of their blood group and its medical importance.
Considering this gap in basic healthcare access, Lok Kalp Foundation decided to conduct this camp. Total 120 students blood group checking done and also blood group certificate was given to students.
Students showed curiosity and asked the lab technician how blood groups are identified and what indicators determine different blood types.
Objective of this camp :-
– To provide free blood group testing for students.
– To create awareness about the importance of knowing one’s blood group.
– To educate students about how blood groups are identified and their significance in medical emergencies.
– To support rural communities with essential healthcare services.
– Importance of blood grouping during emergencies and blood donation.
The Camp was interactive, and students actively participated by asking questions and understanding the testing process.
