Dr. Sachin Vasudev Parulkar Honored by Lokkalp Foundation
Vengurla: Dr. Sachin Vasudev Parulkar, who has been consistently working across the social, educational, and cultural spheres to bring about positive change in society, was recently felicitated by the Lokkalp Foundation in recognition of his remarkable contributions to social welfare.
Dr. Parulkar possesses an impressive academic background in the field of education. His qualifications include M.Com (Accountancy), M.Com (Communication), M.A. (Economics), M.Lib & I.Sc, B.Ed, and a Ph.D. Alongside his academic pursuits, he has actively dedicated himself to social service and community development.
In 2017, he was honored with the District-level “Adarsh Yuva Puraskar” (Ideal Youth Award) by the Government of Maharashtra’s Sports Department. The award was presented to him by the Honorable Guardian Minister in recognition of his outstanding youth leadership and service to society.
Dr. Parulkar currently serves as a member of the District-level Sponsorship and Foster Care Committee under the Department of Women and Child Development, as well as a member of the District-level PCPNDT Committee under the Department of Health. He also holds the position of Vice President of the Vengurla Taluka branch of the Consumer Panchayat Maharashtra (Grahak Panchayat).
His contributions to the social and cultural sectors are particularly significant. He is the Founder and Secretary of Vetal Pratishthan, Sindhudurg – Tulas, through which several community-oriented initiatives have been successfully implemented. In addition, he serves as Secretary of Anandyatri Wangmay Mandal in Vengurla, and as Director of the Shrimant Parvatidevi Library in Tulas and the Bhandari Samaj Aikyavardhak Mandal in Vengurla.
Through his guidance in establishing various social organizations, promoting educational and cultural activities, and fostering social harmony, Dr. Parulkar has made significant contributions toward strengthening community life. During the felicitation ceremony, the Lokkalp Foundation acknowledged that his dedication to social service is truly inspiring and stands as an exemplary model for society.
