Lok Kalp Foundation successfully organized a TB awareness drive on 28 March 2026 in Kurla, Mumbai, in observance of World TB Day (24 March).
The program witnessed participation from residents of nearby chawls, who attended the session to learn more about tuberculosis and its impact on health. The initiative aimed to spread awareness and promote early detection and treatment of TB within the community.
As part of the drive, free chest X-ray screenings were conducted for the attendees to support early diagnosis. In addition, participants were educated on how to identify symptoms of TB, its modes of transmission, and the available treatment options.
The awareness session helped in addressing misconceptions around the disease and encouraged individuals to seek timely medical care.
