The primary objective of the session was to create awareness among SHG members about fish value added products, their benefits, and potential livelihood opportunities. The session aimed to introduce basic concepts and motivate participants for future skill-based training. Awareness session was conducted at Bhatye with active participation of 25 members from 16 SHG.
The session focused on:-
Introduction to fish value added products
Importance of fish processing and preservation
Scope for income generation through value addition
Basic understanding of different fish-based products
The session was interactive, allowing participants to ask questions and share their views. The initiative helped in building interest among SHG members toward alternative livelihood opportunities.
Key Outcomes:-
Awareness generated among 16 SHG members
Increased interest in fish value addition activities
Participants expressed willingness to attend future training programs.
This activity was conducted as an introductory awareness session.
A detailed hands-on training program on fish value added products will be scheduled at a later date by the CRP (Community Resource Person) for the group.
The session was successful in introducing the concept of fish value addition and its livelihood potential. The collaboration between Lok Kalp Foundation and Jaljeevika helped in reaching the community effectively and setting the foundation for future skill development initiatives.
