Devnamol Kalay, Sanguem, Goa – August 5, 2025
The Lokkalp Foundation, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and in collaboration with the Voluntary Health Association of Goa (VHAG), successfully organized a Free General Health Check-Up Camp at Devnamol Kalay, Sanguem, Goa. This initiative was aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and raising health awareness among rural and remote communities.
The camp saw active participation from over 50 local residents, who received comprehensive general health assessments. In a compassionate effort to ensure inclusive healthcare access, home visits and basic medical support were also extended to bedridden patients, including individuals suffering from brain strokes and paralysis—ensuring that no one in the community was left behind.
A key highlight of the event was an engaging Cancer Awareness Talk delivered by Dr. Prachi Nadkarni (Medical Officer). Her talk emphasized the importance of early detection, healthy lifestyle choices, and preventive care. The session was well-received, especially by students and young attendees, who actively participated and expressed heartfelt appreciation.
This impactful initiative was made possible under the leadership and vision of Chairman Kiran Thakur, Founder of Lokkalp Foundation and Lokmanya Multi-Purpose Society. The Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to the dedicated organizing team:
