Verna, Goa – 13th October 2025
In a committed effort to promote preventive healthcare and community welfare, Lok Kalp Foundation, the CSR wing of Margao Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Society, in collaboration with the Voluntary Health Association of Goa (VHAG), successfully organized a Free Health Camp for the villagers of Verna, Goa.
The camp offered Breast Cancer Screening, Dental Check-ups, and General Health Assessments, benefiting over 50 enthusiastic participants from the local community.
Dental services were conducted inside the Arogya Express — a fully equipped mobile dental unit operated by VHAG, ensuring high-quality oral healthcare access right at the doorstep of rural residents. Simultaneously, the Panchayat Hall served as the venue for general health check-ups including BMI measurement, Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure testing, and Breast Cancer Screening.
The event ran from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with medical services provided by a dedicated team of three experienced doctors from VHAG. The initiative marks another milestone in Lok Kalp Foundation’s ongoing mission to empower communities through health awareness and accessible medical care.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Kiran Thakur, Founder of Lok Kalp Foundation and Chairman of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., for his visionary leadership. Special thanks also go to CSR Manager Malini Bali, the Regional Manager, Verna Branch Manager, and the entire dedicated staff whose unwavering support and coordination made this initiative a resounding success.
