Free Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session for Students
Lokkalp Foundation in association with Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-Op-So. Ltd successfully organized a free awareness session on menstrual hygiene and menstrual cycle tracking for students on 12th February 2026
The session was hosted by renowned Gynecologist Dr. Gauri Ganapatye, who provided valuable insights and practical guidance on:
Fundamental importance of menstrual hygiene
Best practices to maintain health during menstruation
Understanding and effectively tracking menstruation
Dr. Ganapatye’s informative, friendly and reassuring approach helped create a comfortable learning environment, which instilled confidence, awareness and practical knowledge related to menstrual health in the students.
As part of this initiative, 190 sanitary pads were distributed to ensure prompt availability of essential menstrual hygiene products.
