A CSR initiative by Lokmanya
On April 21, 2023, the Lok Kalp Foundation organized a unique Eye Camp in Handikopwada village, located 50 kilometers from Belgaum near Kankumbi Village. Handikopwada is one village amongst the 32 villages adopted by Shri Kiran Thakur, Founder and Chairman Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-Op Society Ltd. The camp was held in collaboration with Netradarshan Super Specialty Eye Hospital, which is renowned for its high-quality eye care services.
The concept behind the Eye Camp was to provide free eye check-ups and treatment to the people living in the village and surrounding areas. The Eye Camp was a part of Lok Kalp Foundation’s initiative to adopt 32 villages and provide them with necessary healthcare facilities.
The Eye Camp was a resounding success, with a large number of people turning up to avail the free eye check-up and treatment facilities. The doctors and staff from Netradarshan Super Specialty Eye Hospital worked tirelessly to ensure that each patient received the best possible treatment.
The Eye Camp offered a range of services, including eye check-ups, free spectacles for those in need, and cataract surgeries. The doctors also conducted screenings for various eye diseases and provided treatment for them.
The Eye Camp was not just about providing healthcare facilities but also raising awareness about the importance of eye care. The Lok Kalp Foundation and Netradarshan Super Specialty Eye Hospital organized various activities to educate the people about eye care, such as talks on eye health and hygiene.

The Lok Kalp Foundation’s adoption of 32 villages is a commendable initiative, and the Eye Camp is just one of the many steps towards providing these villages with necessary healthcare facilities and around 40 peoples were attended the camp.
In conclusion, the Eye Camp organized by the Lok Kalp Foundation and Netradarshan Super Specialty Eye Hospital was a resounding success. It not only provided much-needed eye care services to the people living in and around Handikopwada village but also raised awareness about the importance of eye care. Such initiatives are crucial to ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare facilities, regardless of their socio-economic status.
