A CSR initiative by Lokmanya
In a remarkable gesture of community service, Lok Kalp Foundation, in collaboration with Nandadeep Eye Care Hospital Belgaum, organized a successful cataract eye camp in adoptive Kankumbi village, CSR initiative by Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society Ltd, Dr. Kiran D. Thakur Founder and Chairman Editor & Chief of Tarun Bharat Daily Belgaum, to create lasting changing in the lives of the people of the 32 villages. Mrs. Parvati Dange who was diagnosed with a cataract in her right eye.
On August 20, 2024, Mrs. Dange underwent surgery, which was successfully performed by the expert team at Nandadeep Eye Care Hospital. The surgery, made possible by the generous support of the Lok Kalp Foundation, was provided entirely free of charge.
Mrs. Parvati Dange expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff of Nandadeep for their care and support during the entire process. This initiative is yet another example of how collaboration between dedicated organizations can bring life-changing benefits to those in need.
