A CSR initiative by Lokmanya
Lok Kalp Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to uplifting rural communities, has taken a significant step towards improving the educational infrastructure of Handikoppwada School. On October 28, 2024, the foundation gifted benches, sports equipment, and other essential items to the school, bringing smiles to the faces of its 25 students.
Handikoppwada, one of the 32 villages adopted by Lok Kalp Foundation, has long struggled with basic amenities. The school lacked fundamental necessities, including benches, sports equipment, and adequate lighting. Recognizing this need, Lok Kalp Foundation has been consistently supporting the school. Previously, the foundation distributed sweaters, books, and a water filter to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Shri Rahul Bhandari Principal, expressed gratitude, saying, “We are thrilled to have these basic necessities met for our children. Lok Kalp Foundation’s efforts are commendable, especially since our village rarely receives support from NGOs.”
Lok Kalp Foundation volunteers, including Vithoba Kannure, Pritsh Potekar, Sandeep, and Suhasini Pednekar, attended the donation ceremony.
